Heather Campbell

Heather joined Bush Heritage in January 2019 and has over 25 years of experience working in sustainability, the environment and safety. She is currently the Chief Executive. In her previous role at CSIRO Heather led a large team responsible for the health, safety and wellbeing of the organisation’s staff. She was also Chief Executive Officer of Landcare Australia from 2009 to 2013. Heather has served on numerous boards and advisory committees. Currently she is on the Board of Directors at the Midlands Conservation Fund, Arid Recovery and the Australian Land Conservation Alliance. She was previously an Advisory Council Member for Greening Australia, and served on the Boards of Zoos Victoria, Sustainability Victoria, the Aluminium Stewardship Initiative and the Earthwatch Institute Australia. Heather lives on a bush property in the hills above the Yarra Valley, outside of Melbourne, with her husband and two children. In her spare time she enjoys bushwalking, travelling, learning about different cultures and playing the bagpipes.
